Those who show commitment, put in particular effort, study hard and achieve good grades should also have the opportunity to take the next step – for example, going on to university.
In addition to academic performance, financial need – for instance in the case of orphans – is taken into particular consideration when awarding scholarships.
As a rule, university fees are covered, along with a contribution towards general living expenses. The costs of accommodation in a student residence rented specifically for this purpose are also borne by the foundation. This creates unique opportunities which, fortunately, are not one-offs: 13 female scholarship holders have in the meantime successfully completed their studies. At present, 23 students are being supported by the Heribert Nasch Foundation.
