Thutong ya Bana
In Thutong ya Bana (Kimberley), around 90 street children and adolescents live who can only find shelter at night in doorways or rubbish containers.
Since its founding, the Heribert Nasch Foundation has been providing financial support to the local helpers in caring for these children and young people. In the mornings, the street children are given coffee and bread and in this way encouraged to travel together to the »Thutong ya Bana« school. There, they have the opportunity to take a shower and enjoy a hot meal.
In addition, efforts are made to keep them occupied and to teach them basic skills – for example in the English language.
Unfortunately, providing for the street children in this form will no longer be possible in the future, as a student residence is to be built on the site and, as a result, the current facilities will have to make way.

Malusi Omuhle Primary School
The Malusi Omuhle School in Hlabisa (KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa) was founded by the Order of the Dominican Sisters and is today a public Catholic primary school with more than 1,000 children.
In 2011, the Heribert Nasch Foundation equipped a newly set-up computer room there with 15 computers. Support for setting up the equipment and training the teachers was later provided by ISP employee Thomas Groß, who dedicated part of his annual leave to this cause on a voluntary basis.
In 2018, a new well was also drilled with funds from our foundation, as the old well was at risk of drying up.
Oakford Primary School
More than 1,500 pupils of all ages attend the Oakford Primary School in Oakford Priory to learn together. And sometimes they also celebrate – for example at the big school festival organised by the Heribert Nasch Foundation. There was dancing, eating, playing and plenty of joy. Every child received a small gift. Of course, this wonderful day eventually came to an end too. However, it left behind a beautiful memory for everyone.
Sacred Heart Secondary School
Commitment for commitment: at the Sacred Heart Secondary School, we support dedicated pupils by covering their school fees and boarding costs. In addition, we provide support beyond the educational offering itself – for instance by renovating sanitary facilities or supplying pupils with food and drinks during school festivities.
And because particularly outstanding achievements by some pupils deserve particularly outstanding support, in certain cases we also gladly award scholarships for university studies at the Sacred Heart Secondary School.
In total, up to 2019, the Heribert Nasch Foundation covered the school and boarding costs for 260 female pupils.
